BABCP-Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist
Charlotte has over 12 years’ experience of working in NHS psychological therapy services and is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She works with adults (aged 18+) to deliver evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treatment for mental health difficulties including:
- Depression – persistent low mood which impacts on daily living.
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – feelings of a traumatic incident not being in the past, along with easily and frequently triggered symptoms of reliving the traumatic event.
- and anxiety disorders including a special interest and experience in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – repetitive behaviours that reduce the anxiety caused by distressing thoughts.
Charlotte works with people to establish a shared understanding of their difficulties, what’s keeping them going and how to overcome them using CBT to achieve the goals they set in therapy; she believes the key to beneficial therapy is the collaborative teamwork approach central in CBT and is passionate about this way of working.
Charlotte currently offers appointments on a Friday afternoon.
