The Bowen Technique and Manual Lymph Drainage

Alison has a background in medical research, working at St James’s in Leeds for 10 years developing treatments to stimulate the immune system to fight cancer.

After developing novel cancer therapies and working more in the clinics with the patients Alison was inspired to work more directly with people. 

She trained in The Bowen Technique and Manual Lymph Drainage (and CDT) and has a special interest in maintaining the immune system as a basis to good health.  She has specialised in working with older people and in providing holistic support to those being treated for cancer, or post cancer therapy.

Her approach is to support the whole person and to recognise that treatment must be adapted to the needs of the individual.
