PilatesThe result of consistent and regular Pilates practice will be a longer, leaner, more toned physique and improved posture. It is suitable for those with osteoporosis and arthritis as well as sports injuries, back pain or other spinal conditions, postural or muscle problems. It is also very helpful and beneficial during and after pregnancy.

Body Control Pilates is based around the work of Joseph Pilates (1880 – 1967). He designed and taught a series of exercises that strengthened the body at the same time as adding flexibility.

These exercises can take years to perfect and may be too challenging at first, so Body Control has broken the movements down so that the benefits are immediate as the client works towards the advanced classical exercises.

PilatesPilates exercises are suitable for rehabilitation or first-time exercisers, but of course they are also challenging for athletes and dancers. The teacher encourages the clients to work within their own range of capabilities and ensure safe and effective progression. Both group classes and private sessions are available, daytime and evening.
